Los Feliz Neighborhood Council

Neighborhood Photographer

We’re seeking a local photographer to help capture images that convey the essence of Los Feliz. That’s everything from Griffith Park’s sweeping vistas, the bustle of Los Feliz Village, some world-renowned architecture, and upgrading our team’s profile photos (mostly ‘selfies’) to something that makes all of us (you included) look…  Uh, better.

You WILL NOT be tasked with snapping celebrities leaving Little Dom’s (or anywhere else). London’s ‘Daily Mail’ has that covered.

This Designated Staff position is part of our growing Outreach team. The council’s Executive Committee will formally appoint one lucky shutterbug in the next two months.

If you’re a shooter who enjoys tweaking F-stops, shutter-speeds and fill lighting, or only puts their camera in full-auto when someone else is using it, we want you. Of course, mad Photoshop skills are a BIG plus, but not essential.

The commitment is a few hours a month–or more if you like– of doing what you already love doing. We pay a lavish: $0. But the praise is endless (sort of). Plus, there’s the photo credits!

All neighborhood council members are volunteers who give up some of their time and talents to help keep Los Feliz the swell place it is. If this labor-of-love gig sounds like something you could focus on, we’d love to see some of your stuff.
